Tiny Mushroom on Decaying Wood

A tiny mushroom grows from a piece of decaying wood. The rounded cap is reddish-tan with a dusty pale rim, and a soft shallow focus isolates the textured stem against a smooth dark background. The cap surface shows fine granular scales and a pea-sized secondary fruiting body sits on the wood beside the main stalk.
