Small Inkcap Mushroom

A small inkcap mushroom grows between long narrow leaves at ground level. The ribbed beige cap and slender pale stem are lit by soft, diffuse light while the surrounding green blades blur into a muted mauve and grey backdrop. A tiny tear on the cap rim and a thin curling dried fiber wrapped around the stem are clearly visible.
