Green Katydid Nymph with Red Eye

A green katydid nymph sits on the hairy edge of a leaf near the lower-right of the frame. Soft, diffuse daylight produces a pale green, out-of-focus background while the insect and textured leaf margin remain sharply focused. The nymph's red compound eye and spiny, hair-covered legs are clearly visible against the leaf surface.
