Blue Salvia Flower Spikes

Blue salvia flower spikes stand in a late-afternoon meadow, their tall stems rising through the frame. The flowers read as cool blue against a warm, backlit wash of peach and soft olive tones; a shallow depth of field leaves only a few stems sharply defined. Individual tubular flowers cluster densely along the stems and several edges catch the rim light.
