Cracked-cap Fungus on Forest Floor

A cracked-cap fungus grows from the forest floor at ground level. The round cap is tan with white fissured patterns, lit softly from the side and framed low in the image against a deep, blurred background. The cap's surface shows a web-like lattice of raised white cracks and the stem tilts slightly.
