Housefly Close-Up with Red Eyes

A housefly (Musca domestica) rests on a green leaf at the lower right of the frame. Bright red compound eyes and a tan-and-black body are shown against an out-of-focus green background with soft, directional light. The shallow depth of field leaves only the fly's eyes and front legs sharply in focus.
