Red Chrysomelid Beetle on Plant

A red chrysomelid beetle clings to the edge of a green plant stem with its antennae lifted. Its glossy red elytra and black head sit against a soft pale grey background with a blurred green area at left; even, diffuse light reveals tiny water droplets on the shell. The compound eye and fine head hairs are visible in sharp detail in this frame.
