Red Beetle on Petal

A small red beetle clings to the tip of a red petal. Its glossy orange-red elytra and black head and legs are set against a soft pale-green background, with the composition tightly cropped to the petal's edge. The petal shows a small circular puncture and tiny pale grains of debris caught around the beetle's mouthparts.
