White Tooth Fungus on Wood

White tooth fungus growing along the edge of a decaying log is shown in close-up. The photograph shows rows of pale off-white spines tipped with small dark bits, set against a soft, out-of-focus brown and gray background with low directional light. Many of the tiny spikes carry dark specks of debris or spore-like dust at their tips.
