Bird's Nest Fungus Peridioles

Bird's nest fungus cups sit on decaying bark next to a small yellow fungus. Pale beige cups cradle smooth gray peridioles against dark wood; the image is shot with a very shallow depth of field so the foreground cups are sharp and the background is blurred. One cup at the lower left shows three pebble-like peridioles and a rough, pitted rim.
