Knot Hole in Tree Bark

A knot hole in tree bark punctures the trunk and opens onto a pale, out-of-focus background. The rough, dark brown to nearly black bark frames a creamy, backlit opening and fine spiderweb strands cross the gap. Fine cobweb threads catch the light across the upper notch.
