Sweet Alyssum Flower Cluster

A cluster of sweet alyssum (Lobularia maritima) flowers sits against a dark, out-of-focus background. The small white flowers surround yellow, pollen-tipped stamens; soft directional illumination reveals their surface texture and the frame is a tight close-up with shallow depth-of-field. Tiny pollen grains are visible on several stamens and a ring of tightly closed buds appears behind the open flowers.
