Hairy Caterpillar on Foliage

A hairy caterpillar crawls across a water-slick plant surface near the right edge of the frame. Its body is pale green-gray with a thin orange dorsal stripe and dense short white hairs; glossy droplets cover the plant and throw bright circular highlights against a dark background. Notice how one droplet magnifies the tiny speckled texture of the caterpillar's skin.
