Digitalis purpurea Foxglove Spike

Digitalis purpurea foxglove spike hangs vertically with its tubular bells facing downward. The bells are pale lavender outside with white interiors densely spotted in dark maroon, lit by soft diffuse daylight against a blurred green-gray background. Many bells hold rounded water droplets and a few rims show tiny nicks.
