Genista Broom Stems

Broom (Genista) stems with yellow pea-shaped flowers rise in a clustered stand near the lower center of the frame. The pale yellow petals sit against deep green-blue foliage and are lit from the side, leaving the background dark with a soft out-of-focus highlight at the right. A thin strand of spider silk is caught between two upper buds.
