Pale Fungus Caps on Mulch

Pale fungus caps sit clustered on dark wood mulch near the center of the frame. They are creamy-beige with slightly scalloped edges, lit from above against deep, nearly black wood chips in a tight close-up. Each cap shows tiny soil specks and a dry, papery texture along the rim.
