Green-eyed Fly on Mossy Stem

A green-eyed fly clings to a narrow, mossy stem near the lower-left edge of the frame. The photograph is rendered in muted olive and gray tones with soft directional light and an extreme shallow depth of field that leaves most of the image out of focus. The fly's iridescent compound eye and the tiny hairs on the stem are sharply visible against the blur.
