Metallic Long-legged Fly on Plant

A metallic long-legged fly (Dolichopodidae) perches on the edge of a green plant leaf. The insect's iridescent green-gold body and large yellowish eyes catch soft, diffused light against a broadly blurred green background, with the fly positioned low and to the right. Fine hairs along the leaf edge and tiny white specks of debris are clearly visible in the frame.
