Blue Creeping Phlox Bloom

A blue creeping phlox bloom sits near the lower center of the frame. The petals are violet-blue with a darker navy eye and tiny yellow anthers; soft, diffused light renders the background into a smooth mauve-brown blur with sharp green leaves at the right. One petal shows a small notch and a partly opened bud nestles beside the main bloom.
