Crocus Stigma with Petals

A crocus stigma rises from the center of a blue crocus flower. Bright orange, ruffled reproductive segments sit against soft, out-of-focus sapphire-blue petals with even, cool lighting and a very shallow depth of field. Individual pollen granules cling to the frilled edges of the stigma.
