Yellow Lichen on Lava Rock

Yellow lichen carpets patches of rough black lava rock while a single spider-silk strand threaded with dew crosses the frame. The image shows bright yellow patches against matte black texture, shot with a very shallow depth of field so the droplets and nearby rock are sharp while the background blurs. The dew beads sit in a near-perfect sequence along the silk like tiny glass spheres.
