Oriole on Branch

An oriole (Icterus sp.) perches on a thin bare branch near the center of the frame. It shows a vivid yellow-orange breast, a darker olive cap and black-and-white wing markings set against a soft, out-of-focus green background in daylight. Its feet grip a weathered diagonal twig and a small bud is visible on a twig above the bird.
