Green Grasshopper on Soil

A green grasshopper clings to short blades of grass at ground level. The insect's pale green body fills the right side of the frame under soft natural light, with a shallow depth of field that renders the sandy background out of focus. Fine grains of sand and dust are visible on its legs and around the compound eye.
