Gilled Fungus Cluster on Log

A cluster of gilled fungi sits on a damp, decomposing log at the forest floor. The caps read pinkish-tan and brown against a coarse, dark wood; the frame is a tight close-up with very shallow focus. You can see ruffled gill edges and a granular texture in the wood where fine particles catch the light.
