Lizard Head in Hollow Log

A lizard head peers from the rounded hollow of a split log. The scene is rendered in black-and-white with deep blacks and mid-gray highlights; the lit rim of the log frames the reptile against a soft, out-of-focus background. Fine scale texture and a small bright catch on the eye are visible near the center of the frame.
