Honeybee on Closed Bud

A honeybee (Apis mellifera) clings to a closed bud at the end of a curved plant stem. The bee's yellow-brown body sits against the bud's green surface and a soft gray background, lit by neutral daylight with a shallow focus. The image shows fine hairs on the bee and vertical ridges on the bud in sharp detail near the lower right.
