Dried Umbel Seed Pods

Dried umbel seed pods sit at the ends of thin radiating stalks. The picture is black-and-white with soft highlights and a dark, blurred background; the nearest pods are sharply focused while others dissolve into bokeh. One pod at upper right shows a narrow seam and a slightly mottled surface that reads clearly against the blur.
