Star-shaped Bud Cluster

A star-shaped bud cluster sits near the center of the frame. The pointed bracts are green with a purple tinge and rimmed with short white hairs, shown against a soft dark-green background and shallow depth of field. The fine fringe of hairs along each bract edge is clearly visible in this close-up.
