Iridescent Long-Legged Fly

An iridescent long-legged fly (family Dolichopodidae) perches on a broad plant leaf near the right edge of the frame. Its body shows metallic green, red and gold highlights against a softly blurred green background with diffuse light. The fly is holding a tiny dark prey item between its front legs and you can see short bristly hairs along its abdomen and bright red compound eyes.
