Red Maple on Twig

A maple leaf clings to a thin twig jutting from a rough tree trunk. The leaf is orange-red with dark speckles and a slightly ragged edge, set against a bright, out-of-focus background of yellow highlights and the textured grey-brown bark at left. Notice the stem is sharply defined against the bokeh while the trunk fills the left third of the frame.
