Two Grasshoppers on Grass Stem

Two grasshoppers cling to a vertical grass stem, one positioned above the other. The upper insect is mottled brown and tan with red hind legs while the lower is bright yellow with bold black markings; the photographer used a tight vertical crop and shallow focus that leaves the background as blurred purples and soft vegetation tones. You can see fine hairs on the brown grasshopper's thorax and the serrated edge of the grass blade.
