Round Springtail on Surface

A round springtail sits on a textured horizontal surface near the lower center of the frame. The photograph is black-and-white with the insect sharply in focus while the foreground and background fall into soft gray and dark blur. You can clearly see the springtail's two antennae and tiny legs against the grain of the surface.
