Daylily Cluster on Stems

Daylilies rise on tall green stems near the center of the frame with several trumpet-shaped blooms open. The petals read a warm golden tone against deep, cool foliage and a dark, softly blurred background; light falls from the side and emphasizes the vertical lines. A few withered blooms curl low beside fresh buds, and dark anthers punctuate the flower centers.
