Close-Up of Mushroom Gills

Mushroom gills run along the underside of a cap and occupy the lower half of the frame. They are creamy white with thin brown rims, lit from the side against a deep blue-black background. The gill surfaces show a fine granular texture and one gill curls into a small loop at the right edge.
