Robber Fly on Grass Blade

A robber fly (family Asilidae) perches on a narrow grass blade near the lower right of the frame. Its iridescent green and orange compound eyes catch the available light against a dark, out-of-focus background while orange legs grip the wet blade. Small dew droplets cling to its legs and the grass in front of the fly.
