Venetian Canal House Facades

Venetian canal house facades line a narrow canal, their ground floors opening directly onto the water. The stucco walls are faded beige and off-white, with red terracotta roofs and dark shutters beneath an overcast sky; the frame is a tall vertical crop that emphasizes the rows of arched windows. A small stone statue and balustrade are visible in a garden between two buildings.
