Eastern Redbud Buds on Stem

Eastern redbud buds are clustered at the base of a small woody stem near the lower right of the frame. The closed buds are deep purple against brown-gray bark and a soft, pale blurred background under diffused light. Small rounded lenticels dot the stem and tiny specks are visible on the bud surfaces.
