Pleurotus ostreatus Gill Detail

Pleurotus ostreatus gills fill the frame in a close-up view of their overlapping, shelf-like folds. The colors are beige and pale tan with soft side light that picks out glossy edges while the background falls into blur. Tiny dark specks of debris cling near the lower edge, giving scale to the thin tissue.
