Small Red Winter Berries

Small red winter berries cluster on thin bare twigs dusted with fresh snow. The bright red of the berries contrasts with cool gray branches and white snow; the photographer used a shallow depth of field so foreground clusters are sharp while the background blurs. Several berries show small dark pitted tips and clumps of crystalline snow on top of their clusters.
