Translucent Spotted Caterpillar

A translucent spotted caterpillar crawls across a dried, veined reddish leaf. The body is pale cream with rows of black dots, set against the large red-veined surface and photographed in close-up with soft, even lighting. You can clearly see the segmented prolegs gripping the leaf and a small tear near the caterpillar's rear.
