Wooden Water Taxi in Venice

A wooden water taxi moves down a narrow Venetian canal beneath a small stone pedestrian bridge. The varnished brown hull and Italian flag contrast with blue-tarped moored boats and rows of weathered brick and stucco buildings bathed in soft, even daylight; the composition centers the boat under the arch with facades stacked along the right side. Two men in dark vests sit in the stern looking toward the bridge.
