Waterlily Rising from Pond

A waterlily rises on a slender stalk from shallow pond water close to a clump of emergent grasses. The petals are pale with a yellow center, lit by soft overcast light and framed low to the water against a blurred dark rock and gray background. A few droplets cling to the nearest lily pad and the flower casts a faint reflection on the surface.
