Asian Lady Beetle on Foliage

An Asian lady beetle (Harmonia axyridis) crawls along the scalloped margin of a plant blade near the lower right of the frame. Its orange shell is patterned with black spots and a white-and-black pronotum, shown in bright, diffuse light with a shallow depth of field. Tiny serrations along the blade edge are visible where the beetle's legs make contact.
