Ornamental Allium inflorescence

An ornamental allium inflorescence fills the center of the frame, its star-shaped florets held on thin purple stalks. Bright purple petals contrast with pale cream-green central buds, lit softly and photographed with a tight shallow depth of field that leaves the background blurred. Several petals carry tiny water droplets and the cream centers sit as compact, rounded nodes among the spiky stems.
