Seedling with Two Cotyledons

A seedling with two round cotyledons grows from a narrow split between two pieces of mossy bark. The bright green cotyledons are rimmed with fine hairs and are backlit against a dark, ribbed foreground and a soft brown background. The V-shaped crevice in the bark centers the thin stem and draws the eye to the tiny plant.
