Dwarf Inkcap Mushroom Cap

A dwarf inkcap mushroom (Parasola plicatilis) sits among blades of grass. The photograph shows a pale gray, finely pleated cap with a small brown center, shot close-up against a soft green background. A single grass blade cuts across the right edge and a tiny dark speck rests near the cap rim.
