Lavender Cosmos Flower

A lavender cosmos flower sits in the frame with its yellow central disk visible and a small hoverfly feeding at the stamens. Pale purple petals catch soft daylight and the bloom is isolated by a shallow depth of field that renders the background as warm beige and mauve blurs. One petal shows a small round hole near the edge.
