Black Beetle on Plant Blade

A small black beetle clings to the edge of a green plant blade near the lower left of the frame. The beetle's glossy, textured elytra catch cool highlights while the rest of the image falls into soft green and dark blur from a very shallow depth of field. You can see the tiny punctures on its wing covers and the forward-reaching antennae in this close-up view.
