Pink Flower Bud on Twig

A pink flower bud sits at the node of a gray, rough woody twig. Soft side light picks out the pale purple-pink tip against a blurred beige-gray background while two out-of-focus branches form vertical framing. The branch's textured lenticels and a dark brown bud scale are visible at the bud's base.
