Brown Mushrooms on Lichen

Small brown mushrooms are growing on a lichen-covered tree trunk. The image shows tan-cap mushrooms amid pale gray foliose lichen and bright yellow crustose lichen, lit from the side with a shallow depth of field and a vertical crop. Several caps show fine radial striations and a translucent margin where the gills are visible.
